Don't overlook the VW Tiguan. It's an excellent vehicle with a 200hp turbocharged engine and 6 speed transmission. Having just done two long trips, one in our Tiguan and one in a CRV, we are not sorry we chose the Tiguan. On hills and on a long trip the 6 speed is really a pleasure.

You can buy unlocked phones in any number of places if you are prepared for sticker shock. Best Buy and Liverpool in Guad have a wide selection and most telcel stores will sell you an unlocked phone...at a price.

My map says that is a 15 hour drive.

Don't know  about your map, but I've done it twice. Once in 11 hours flat and once in 11 hours 15 minutes.

It's  certainly possible to drive from Ajijic to Navojoa in one day. We've done it a couple of times....about 11 hours with a short lunch stop and a couple of fuel stops.

I have had a rx drug sent to me through mbe several years ago and the customs fee was outrageous. Don't remember how much but was a lot. 
 

Ditto! More than doubled the cost of the medicine. I have not and will not ever use MBE again for anything.
