After having a Skype number for years, I had to port it to MS Teams to continue service. it worked OK for a bit, but recently I can oly make outbound calls. Inbound calls don't connect to my Skype number. Questions: 1 if anyone has this problem and has a solution, please advise 2 Has anyone ported their USA Skype number (which is now in Teams) to another Internet phone service- Name of service please. 3. If so, does this service allow for inbound and outbound calls, does it allow for you to receive authentication codes (often done by banks trying to confirm your identity) 4. What is the cost of the service Would welcome any such advice re: porting my USA number.

I transferred my Skype number to Teams, as recommended by Microsoft, but not happy with result, as I cannot get a dial-pad in Teams to make a call (I can receive call though). I am looking to port that number to a reputable alternate system . It is important I keep my Skype USA phone number. Has anyone ported it it from Skype? Has anyone ported it it from Teams? Would welcome a recommendation of someone who has actually done it and is satisfied with results .

Hi Daisy, hopefully one last clarification When you say you bought magic jack. did you buy the USB hardware, or just downloaded their software /app or both hardware and software ?

Daisy 2013, This is interesting- I called Magic jack , and although their website said it can be done, customer service at magic jack said that they cannot port numbers from Skype. Did you have to buy the Magicjack USB device for it to work ? does the number work on your PC? on your cell? if you can provide more details , would appreciate.

Checking my street security camera, at 2AM , someone walking by the house and is looking at the two garbage bags i put out on the street earlier in the day. Plastic bag 1 had normal garbage, the dude gets into the bag and takes something. I checked this morning, and the missing item that was taken was a plastic envelope with my name and address on it. Plastic bag 2 was full of shredded papers. The dude looked at the bag, and took the whole thing with him. Why would someone take shredded paper plus a plastic envelope with my address on it is a bit suspicious . maybe looking for personal data for evil purposes - who knows, but in the future, all my papers will be shredded before being placed in the garbage. Anyone else with similar experience ?
