I recommend Art Hess. He is a trainer, dog walker and pet sitter. Helped me with 3 dogs. Art can be reached at 766-0694

Art literally wrote the book on dog training. I bought it some years ago and it helped. Not sure how to contact him. I know his partner, Barbara, works at the Animal Shelter taking care of all the cats, and she can probably put you in touch with Art if no one knows his phone number.

Contact Miguel Zamora at 045-333-8038 Lakeside or dial 011-52-1-333-808-8038 from the states. He is reliable, drives for a living, will meet her at the customs exit doors and carry her bags to the car then to your door. He speaks great English and is an all-around great guy. He gets busy, so try to call as far in advance as possible to get on his books. He also has a variety of vehicles of different sizes, to match quantity of luggage and/or passengers. You can ask him for the rates, which vary depending on time of day and number of passengers, etc. We've used him for years.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I was told that only the Airport taxi drivers can take incoming passengers to their destinations from the airport. Don't believe a Lakeside taxi driver can pick up fares from the Guadalajara Airport.

The drill is pretty much as Knownothing described. The drivers are polite and nice, some speak a little English, and they always tell you they know how to get to where you want to go whether they know or not!

That surprises me, since we continue to maintain a US address in New Hampshire to which all our official mail is sent, including our Soc. Sec. annual statements. I enrolled in SS online, and hubby enrolled in the US. We both recently renewed US drivers licenses. And, we have never registered at the consulate as expats. But somehow, the Feds know he lives here, altho they apparently did not find out that I was here. Hmm. Wonder what blew our cover--not that I care, but I am curious. I gotta ask hubby what he's been up to;)

I had read on the SS website that SS checks are deposited on the day of the month in which the person one is collecting under was born. In my case, I draw on my deceased ex-husband whose birthdate was on the 17th of the month. Usually my SS checks are deposited on or around the 17th.

I use my daughter's U.S. address as my address with them and the check is deposited in my WaMu account there. I had also heard that if they know an SS recipient is living in Mexico, the check comes out on the 3rd of the month.

Thank you for your suggestion, RV. However, I'm really looking for the name of a service person I can call to come out and help me. In trying to do this myself, some of my Dish thingee and Go Video cords became disconnected and I can't get it put back together or set it myself. The Dish was set on top of the DVD player in the bottom part of an enclosed armoir (tv in the top part). It is impossible for me to get to the back of the equipment. I know, I'm a complete ditz when it comes to anything of a technical nature so no snide comments from the haters, please.

Names and phone #s, pretty please!
