We need to ship several boxes of stuff (books, a printer, clothes, knicknacks, etc) up to the US. Has anyone had experience doing this and do you have any recommendations about which service (UPS, DHL, FedEx) is the best both in cost and reliability? Are there any restrictions you have encountered in what you can send and any tips for what to do/not do.

Has anyone had any experience, good or bad, with changing money at Banco Azteca. We would like to change pesos to US dollars.

We're looking for a professional housecleaning service in the Lake Chapala area. Two we have found so far are "Pristine Clean" and "Cloudshine Clean and Renew". Has anyone had experience with either of these outfits? Any recommendations on the quality of service and whether the cost was worth it? Also, do you have any other professional housecleaning services you have personally used and would recommend?

We have a 2010 Toyota RAV4 with 147,000 km on it that we would like to donate to a local charity. It is mechanically in good shape but needs some cosmetic bodywork. Anyone here ever donated a car? Any thoughts on where to donate and tips on doing it?

I have an old (circa 2008) MacBook Pro 15" laptop. I have long since replaced it and it has been sitting in my closet for years. Physically it is in good shape, but the hard drive is dead and I'm not sure about the processor. Any thoughts about what to do with it? I don't want to just dump it, for environmental reasons. It might have some value for parts. Any thoughts?

Hi Yan Carlo, I am a photo-journalist who lives in Ajijic. I have a couple of aging Mac Pro Laptops, (2010, 2013) that I have kept because they have iPhoto, which is a much better program than the current Photos program on my 3rd and newest Mac Pro (2025). I need to migrate the iPhoto library from the older Mac to the somewhat newer one, so that I can decommission/donate the older one. I need to find someone to help me do this because I have stored quite a substantial number of photos I have taken in Mexico over the last 20 years. I am concerned that I may lose some of these photos in the process if I try to do it on my own. Any chance I can bring the two older Macs to your place in San Antonio Tlay. for some help?
