NLU
I plan on leaving Ajijic Saturday October 18 early AM to McAllen or Laredo to sell 2000 4-door Cadillac Deville. Looking for additional driver or buyer to share driving, gas and tolls. I will stay at border for several days or until I sell car. If interested, send PM. Sheridan
Hi. I am a new reader of this topic. While I do not need a ride to US from Ajijic, I am interested in going from US to Lake Chapala soon and wanted to ask how you are returning to Ajijic and if you could tell me a good way to do that from McAllen or Laredo. Thanks for any help.
RVGRINGO
From the bus station in downtown McAllen, you can take a bus, hourly, to Monterrey, Mexico, where you can shuttle to the airport and catch a one hour regional airline flight to Guadlajara. Then, buy a taxi ticket to either Chapala or Ajijic. Easy, daytime travel, and almost as inexpensive as a very long bus ride overnight. I assume that you could do something similar from Laredo. Mexican buses are fantastic and the regional airlines are very competitive.

RVGRINGO
We have done that in the past, and it was a pleasant trip. Check the regional airlines. When we did it, we used Interjet from Monterrey to GDL. The Mcallen bus station has several Mexican lines running that route and they even gave us the old folks discount.
