Intercasa
It is monthly filings and there is zero tax the first year so payment and compliance is easy, it is called Regimen de Incorporacion Fiscal and you can even issue facturas! snowyco
If the artist is an American, doesn't the 1993 US-Mexico Tax Convention (treaty) specify that American artists are given an automatic $3,000 annual exemption from Mexican taxes?I understand that the exemption allows American artists to do shows in Mexico, sell a few things, and make no reports to SAT. This information is buried, about 29 pages down on the IRS website documenting tax treaties between the USA and other countries. The Mexican income of American citizens providing some kinds of "personal services" in Mexico is also fully exempt - so, if the activities qualify as an allowed personal service, then the work may be tax exempt. Talk with a good tax professional who knows both US and Mexican tax law, and the US-Mexico tax treaty.
