Alexis
Is the only Emission Control in Chapala now? No longer in San Antonio and/or Riberas? If so, what's the address in Chapala? Directions? Thanks!

Solfeggio
Although for most it is not as close, there is also an authorized emissions center next to (couple of doors to the north) the arches at the entrance to Ixtlahuacan de los Membrillos (the town just over the mountain and north of Chapala Haciendas). Cost is 250 pesos.
sm1mex
About a month ago we stopped by Escalera, no emission control done there at that time, so we went to the guy on Zaragosa in Chapala and they did it within 10 minutes, got our sticker and was on our way, 250 pesos. tomgates
That isn't right, or legal so to speak. Guess if they are making it that difficult to get one, I will skip it. Haven't had anyone check it in over 4 years.

sm1mex
Mexico cost is 250. That is what they can charge. Go to the place in Chapala. 500 pesos is a rip off.

Tomas
Did you mean to say 4X the hourly wage instead of "daily" wage???
jguerin
my question is: you renew the month of your last plate digit by the law. 0 will be renew in October if I understand the law Last figure on your plates is your month of renewal. Thanks.
Intercasa
Did you mean to say 4X the hourly wage instead of "daily" wage??? No, I meant 4 times the daily wage. In Mexico they set fees and fines based upon the daily minimum wage for the area, for here it is 67.29 pesos.
