traderspoc Posted July 22, 2014 Report Share Posted July 22, 2014 The kayak club has decided that it would be prudent, to teach a rescue class on Saturday 8AM July 26th to all participants Sundays July 27th 2014 kayaks paddle across the lake or halfway. To create a safer paddle on Sunday July 27th the lake Chapala kayak club is offering their 500 peso kayak rescue for free. Please all attendee's of the July 27th paddle who would like to take the kayak rescue class, please show Saturday 8AM on the beach. in front of Maria Isabel restaurant next to Ajijic pier prepare to get wet. you will learn how to do identify kayakers who are unsafe and do not have the proper equipment , to guide them to do a shorter paddle, to the middle of the lake or 1/4 way on Sunday. learn the two kayak rescue, using the newer heal hook method learn the difference between a sit on top , recreational and sea kayaks. learn how to tow a kayak with a six foot rope. learn how to properly wear a kayak vest, and how to choose one that's fits you. learn basics of the forward kayak paddle stroke and not hurt your shoulders. The lake Chapala kayak believes in kayak safety and teaches all their members required to take a class. the kayak club can supply 8 recreational kayaks to use with paddles, and vest for kayak rescue class Saturday.. if necessary please reserve one for the rescue class, Also asking paddlers to stay later after the Sunday paddle please be available with your kayak on Sunday 2 to 4PM to teach kids 6 year old to 14 in knee deep water rotating every 20 minutes how to paddle a kayak. a knee deep area for the kids to paddle will be marked off with milk bottles Wayne Commodore Lake Chapala Kayak Club Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
