lkarelee
Does anyone know where we could exchange Pesos for Euros? We are traveling to Europe and want to have some for metro tickets from airport.

Joyfull
Get them from an ATM or currency exchange on arrival. All international airports have them right outside customs.
adolphsj
You can get them at Intercam on the Ajijic carretera between OXXO and the paint store. For large amounts, like several thousand, they would like to know in advance but can do. Talked to them in person about it last week; also going on trip. ATM advice is true tho. Rony
For buying Euros, I used Actinver and Intercam in the past, and much to my surprise, I always got the best rate at Banco Azteca (also fastest service) here in Chapala. Try to get as many 50 Euro notes as possible, as some businesses in Europe will not change 200 Euro notes and up. Don't rely on the ATM alone, because what if your card does not work there or gets swallowed by the machine.... like with anything, spread your risks and don't bet on just one horse. Changing dollars in Europe is becoming more and more difficult (at banks or other) and you often get a (very) bad rate. This was my last year's experience in the Netherlands and Belgium. (be also prepared for the different electical plug type, but you might already know that) Enjoy Europe ! Rony
adolphsj
gracias to rony on the 50 bill thing, which we didn't know. Sounds like the same difficulty here with 500 peso bills and sometimes even 200!

lkarelee
No euros yesterday....we will have to wait until we get the DFW and buy a few there for the express bus to our hotel. Lousy rate - but we will just get a few.
Haciendadellago
I have 100 Euros left from a trip to Paris in January, wouldn't mind getting rid of it if you want to change.
