EX-PAT2011 Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 OMG, My wife and I are addicted to this place. We sit outside, grab a beer from the store, then indulge in GREAT food. We usually take home the empanadas dulce for a sweet snack at night. We are so glad we live at this end of Ajijic. We always feel welcome and when we try to speak Spanish with them, the are such a big help. We have a lot of laughs with them. Keep up the good work!!!
Travis Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 Those empanadas are really good. And the people who run it are lovely.
Wookie Posted June 22, 2013 Report Posted June 22, 2013 We went for the first time yesterday and the empanadas are all everyone says. The owners were great and we will be back soon too.
gringo10 Posted June 27, 2013 Author Report Posted June 27, 2013 This place is full of surprises. I had tried empanadas, but today I tried tacos. Fish and shrimp tempura. Simply delicious!
austinx Posted June 27, 2013 Report Posted June 27, 2013 The fish and shrimp tacos are the best I´ve had at Lakeside. Be sure to use the chipotle mayo and red onions in vineger.

Lexy Posted July 24, 2013 Report Posted July 24, 2013 I DO WISH THAT THEY WOULD MOVE TO CHAPALA. TODAY! No, no, no, no. We very appreciative customers in West Ajijic deserve them. Lexy
FHBOY Posted July 24, 2013 Report Posted July 24, 2013 Hey, RV: Ya can't hog all the good stuff in Chapala, even we Ajijic Westies have a right to some good things
thevalerieleigh Posted July 24, 2013 Report Posted July 24, 2013 After reading all of these great reviews, we gave it a try last week. We had several of the Empanadas (savory and sweet) as well as Fish and Shrimp Tacos. Everyone enjoyed the quality and quantity of the food. It was affordable and the host/owner/waiter was very kind and accommodating. We look forward to going again. Valerie

tacossa Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 No, no, no, no. We very appreciative customers in West Ajijic deserve them. Lexy Thank you Lexie!, We will not move to Chapala. Although we are planning to open a branch there!. If anyone knows of a place for rent, which is inexpensive, we would appreciate the information. Moderator added: Please send the information about potential rental space via PM. Do not post it to the board.

RVGRINGO Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 OK, I surrendered and since they are not moving to Chapala, we drove to have lunch on Suncay. If you like fish and chips, forget the chips and just order one of Luis fish tacos. The fish is done to perfection; crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, wrapped in a freshly made tortilla and you choose your sauce. Delicious! Of course, we also had some of our other favorites too. Now that the weather has cooled, eating at an inside table was very comfortable.
gringo10 Posted September 3, 2013 Author Report Posted September 3, 2013 Now they have a new empanada filled with pepperoni and cheese. Like all the others, is delicious.
valbogyo Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 I tried an empanada last week: mushroom and cheese. OMG. How could they get so much flavour in that little empanada? I would have had another, but I am trying to figure out the Weight Watchers points and I am pretty sure that one empanada is 6 or 8. Any WW alumni figure it out yet? Wish they would do a baked version.
Carnivore Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 It's very important to know the exact name of the fish is being used in the fish tacos. Does anyone know?
