OMG, My wife and I are addicted to this place. We sit outside, grab a beer from the store, then indulge in GREAT food.

We usually take home the empanadas dulce for a sweet snack at night. We are so glad we live at this end of Ajijic. We always feel welcome and when we try to speak Spanish with them, the are such a big help. We have a lot of laughs with them. Keep up the good work!!!

The fish and shrimp tacos are the best I´ve had at Lakeside. Be sure to use the chipotle mayo and red onions in vineger.

Thank you Austinx, we're flattered by your words.

I DO WISH THAT THEY WOULD MOVE TO CHAPALA. TODAY!

No, no, no, no. We very appreciative customers in West Ajijic deserve them.

Hey, RV:

Ya can't hog all the good stuff in Chapala, even we Ajijic Westies have a right to some good things ^_^

After reading all of these great reviews, we gave it a try last week. We had several of the Empanadas (savory and sweet) as well as Fish and Shrimp Tacos. Everyone enjoyed the quality and quantity of the food.

It was affordable and the host/owner/waiter was very kind and accommodating. We look forward to going again.

Thank you Lexie!, We will not move to Chapala. Although we are planning to open a branch there!. If anyone knows of a place for rent, which is inexpensive, we would appreciate the information.

OK, I surrendered and since they are not moving to Chapala, we drove to have lunch on Suncay. If you like fish and chips, forget the chips and just order one of Luis fish tacos. The fish is done to perfection; crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, wrapped in a freshly made tortilla and you choose your sauce. Delicious! Of course, we also had some of our other favorites too. Now that the weather has cooled, eating at an inside table was very comfortable.

I tried an empanada last week: mushroom and cheese. OMG. How could they get so much flavour in that little empanada?

I would have had another, but I am trying to figure out the Weight Watchers points and I am pretty sure that one empanada is 6 or 8. Any WW alumni figure it out yet?

Wish they would do a baked version.
