Fruit pies

Does anyone know if you can buy fruit pies at Lakeside?

Soriana did but hasn't for at least a year. Wal-Mart did sell Apple and Blackberry but stopped about a month ago.

Apparently there was a lady in Chapala who would take special orders but I never could find her.

If there was somebody locally I would support them. I may have to learn to bake but I don't want to.

I really would appreciate postings in regular print, rather than the fancy stuff which is great for wedding invitations. I find that font difficult to read. Or, maybe use a darker style.

Yes, Superlake has fruit pies near the entrance, and I have also seen them at the Monday market at Hole-in-one and the Tues Farmer's market at La Huerta. Peter and Georgina of the former Secret Garden have wonderful pies, small and large at the Tues. market. Their stand is in the back row, on the far right.

El Chef from Chantepec make many kinds of tasty fruit pies-several kinds of apple, blackberry, mango, papaya, strawberry, raspberry, etc. They sell them at Superlake. The apple cream is my favourite.

If you're looking to support the locals, there is a lady on the north side of G. Victoria just west of Revolution that has some great looking pies displayed in the mornings outside her casa.

After seeing your post regarding the fruit pies at Superlake, I went there, expecting to get a Mango Pie, and all they had were 3 Apple and One Chocolate Cream. I left so disappointed!! But Thanks any way. Guess I will try again at another time.

In the busy season they used to bring fresh pies Tuesday and Saturday. In the slow season (now) they usually only bring them Saturday morning. So check after that.
