Three Kittens Left On Doorstep

A friend of mine shares her home with ten lovely, much-loved, healthy cats, including one blue-eyed beauty deaf since birth. The other day that total jumped to thirteen when she found three very young kittens on her doorstep. She suspects her young Mexican friend from across the street. His father was going to dump the kits, and he had already got rid of the mother. Of course she took them in. The kid knew she would.

To complicate matters, she’s just taken in a medium-sized dog, a favor to a friend now in a nursing home, the first dog most of her household has ever laid eyes on. But that’s not the big problem. (The cats are getting over their pout and the dog ignores them.)

While she tries to find homes for the little ones—she won’t place them in an already crowded shelter--her limited income is strained more than ever to cover food, cat sand, vet care and shots for the newcomers.

A number of friends are helping her out, including me, but it looks like she’s in for a long haul, kitten-wise.

She asked me to post this message. If you could help with food or litter or a cash donation she would be very appreciative.

Her name is Ann Heath (some of you might know her) and she lives in West Ajijic. Call her: 766-4086. E-mail: Heathmex@yahoo.com

Thanks, if you can help.

I am looking for a medium sized female dog, 2-3 years old or so to keep my little male 13 year old company. I had to put my older dog to sleep recently and Guapo is lonely.

The Ranch has a number of medium sized dogs. Cookie and Jack come to mind. Here are pictures of some of our dogs. I am not sure about ages, but I think both are a bit older.

MtmMama--Wouldn't it be better to contact LaChula with a personal message? I'd love to see every dog you have adopted. But this thread concerns Ann Heath and her special need for some help with her kittens.

LaChula--I'm not sure Ann is trying to get the dog adopted, but please email her and ask. However I think the dog is male.

How about a kitten to keep Guapo company?
