R & S Roe Posted May 24, 2013 Report Posted May 24, 2013 We don't belong to the LCS but need to send some papers to the States to put them on the mail. Please if anybody is going soon let us know. Package service is quite expensive!!! The papers are in an envelope, there are car registration that the owners need in California. Thanks a lot for your help in advance! Our ph. 766-4764
Little Feather Posted May 24, 2013 Report Posted May 24, 2013 There is a new store across the carratera from Walmart, Ishop. They carry out mail on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Cost is 30 pesos if you have the stamp and 35 pesos if you need a stamp. Another possibility is Handimail. Shopping plaza just east of Super Lake. They carry out mail at noon on Mondays. Cost is 10 pesos. If it is a large envelop, I think you'll have better luck at Ishop.

Our ph. 766-4764 is it a package ? or an envelope? sol y luna is 15p
sm1mex Posted May 24, 2013 Report Posted May 24, 2013 If you use Handy Mail you need to be a mail customer of theirs to send mail. You can go to Sol y Luna in the bouganvilia breezeway and they will take your mail for 15 pesos I think. It goes out just about every day.
TioBob Posted May 24, 2013 Report Posted May 24, 2013 I have had good luck with Sol y Luna sending mail to the US. If you go there say hello when you pass our shop.
hensley Posted May 24, 2013 Report Posted May 24, 2013 Too bad you didn't post this earlier, hubby went to TX yesterday.

virgogirl Posted May 25, 2013 Report Posted May 25, 2013 A little off topic, not to offend anyone, but wondering about shipping boxes. I thought the cheapest would be good ol' Mexican Correo. I shipped all my family photos albums home in GIANT plastic snap lid carton=3000 pesos. OUCH. I had to get the ball rolling so I just did it. Someone mentioned to me to send in boxes of smaller dimension and weight instead of one larger box/carton. All feedback will be appreciated for shipping costs regarding a few more boxes.

Can anyone haul a bag north??
virgogirl Posted May 26, 2013 Report Posted May 26, 2013 Yes, this is what I'll do. I'll check here on the board when I get another box ready to see if someone can throw it in the mail on the other side. Not rocket science. It's just that the only thing I've really sent out in the past 2 years has been gifts for the grandchildren, and I learned how to send lighter weight objects to keep the prices down, so had no experience sending household goods etc. I keep re-evaluating and decided the majority is not worth shipping. many things we can't get here for free or cheap are readily available for next to nothing in the states. I'm not going sentimental over a coffee cup... wellll.... maybe the ones that say "VIVA MEXICO!"
