Ajijic Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 Thanks for posting. To the OP, do you have a Permanent Resident visa? I ask as you mentioned several road checks. Tomorrow I will drive to Texas to sell my car and I have a PR visa. At the checkpoints did they look at your visa and TIP etc? One positive is that my car while having Ontario Canada plates it was initially registered in the US and dealers say not an issue selling it in the US.. There is also a Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler dealer in Laredo that buys vehicles outright.

We still have our temporada....we sold the car now because we apply for permanante next month. When we turned in our TIP, they asked for passport, and when we checked out at immigration we had to show everything.

When you used this website, there are several choices to make. Did you go to the "What is my car worth" area? After one goes there and answers some questions about their car (year model, mileage etc) KBB will give you four prices based on condition.... Excellent, Very Good, Good and Fair..... for either Private Party Value or Trade-In Value. When you say you got KBB from CarMax, did they give you a similar price to the figure that corresponded to the condition of your car? Was it for Trade-In Value or for Private Party Value? Thanks!

Phone number is 1 210 xxxxxxx You will need your title, all sets of keys, registration card, and identification. We made an appointment though that is not required. We dealt with August Harris....A very nice young man. Feel free to PM me if you have other specific questions and I will try to answer them. just talked to August. he was not pleased to know his personal cell phone was posted here. he asked for the web site name. maybe you should have asked his permission first and used the office number.

I did tell him I would offer his name to those who might ask and he said he would appreciate that. I am sorry if he was not nice to you. giving his number to friend is different than posting on the internet.... which is publicly searchable. this is why we write our emails as suchnsuch at yahoo.com...... spammers find them. he was nice to me. just upset as he is gets all sorts of strange calls on his prvate number. carmax can't help me, because it appears i will not have my SD title by the time i need to drive up there. carmax will not do power of attorney, wait till i fed ex title, then wire money.... only banknote given at time.... so must have title. have contacts out with 3 honda dealers to see if they are willing to do this with a non texas platd vehicle. maybe you should edit your post and remove his number .... offer in pm he asked name of site it was posted on.

Good luck with your car. at the bottom of you post .... you should see - to the left of the multiquote and quote button is the option to report and to edit... click there xxx it out, hit save changes at bottom
