I find that at this time of year, I need to slather myself from head to toe with lotion or I leave a trail of dead skin flakes so large that I could follow them back home if I get lost. Right now, I am using "Dove nutricion esencial". I like it, but is there anything better at keeping my aged skin moister until the rains begin? I tried lard, but kept sliding off my chair and it was a pain to wash off.
Thanks.

Dermatologist told me to get a lotion from farmacia...quite expensive but very good. I have extremely dry skin. It's called Ureaderm Lactato. Sometimes it's hard to find.

Oleoderm (the bottle with the green writing) + five capsules of vitamin E squeezed into it.
Or coconut oil.

I also have extremely dry feet, I have fineally solved the problem and I had deep cracks on my heals and very painful to walk on.
I use GNC's tube of Vitamin E Ointment bought at Pharmacia Christina or at any GNC store.
Open the cap and sqeeze a little out.
It should have a consistency like vasiline, if it is more liquid don't buy it.
I then would rub this on my feet, then put a plastic
bag over each foot, then put socks on to keep them in place before going to sleep. It works!
I have since given up on plastic bags because I found footie socks
at Walmart where the inside of the sock is rubberized so lotions don't get absorbed.
The bottoms of the socks have traction strips so you won't slip while walking. They are sold in the health & beauty aids dept hanging on a peg where other foot supplies are sold.
They cost $180p but well worth it. The cracks are gone and I'm not in pain anymore.

Sometime when you are NOB, buy yourself some Heel-Tastic. It's really wonderful stuff for heel cracks. I had ONE, once, and never want another one.

I love the Body Butters from The Body Shop NOB. I order it when it's on sale for $10 each. You'll have to get someone to "mule" it down for you or get it next time you're in the states but I keep 4-6 tubs of it in my cabinet. It seems to hold up well and lasts a long time.
Good luck!

Curel for dry skin is very good and not greasy. Walmart carries Palmer's Cocoa Butter. It's in a flat jar with a silver lid. I use that mainly on my feet at night.
