gringohombre Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 I have a large wood Aztec calendar (packaged) 45" X 45" X 6" that I was going to send to Chicago but the FedEx, UPS charges are massive. He has a friend in D.F. who makes periodic trips to Chicago and will deliver it for him there. She will pick it up from wherever you will be in D,F. and i will deliver it to you so you won't have to pick it up from me. I will pay a small fee to help with gas. This would be a big favor for me. You can PM me or call me at 766-5322. Thanks. No rush.
More Liana Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 If there are no takers coming over here soon, you can send it on one of the bus lines via paquetería. Costs a lot less than the FedEx and DHL gang. Ask your friend in the DF which bus station would be most convenient for her.
Happy Feet Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 You could try Ajijic post office. Inexpensive and you can register it, Or mulitpack or estafeta. If the package is not delieverd to the home but picked up at an office of multipack or Estafeta near your friends home its cheaper. I think they do Multipack and Estafeta at mailboxes.

RVGRINGO Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 The package is almost four feet by four feet by half a foot. That is pretty big and probably pretty heavy. Maybe too big for the usual package delivery outfits.
Fred Habacht Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 I am supposed to share the driving with a friend who plans on leaving by the second week of June.....make me the last resort as this friend seldom lives by his schedule. Fred
bmh Posted May 22, 2013 Report Posted May 22, 2013 Multipack on La Paz will take it without any problem and they are not expensive, We ship packages bigger than that between Guadalajara and Chiapas on a regular basis. Go to Guadalajara Multipack directly the MailBox etc is more expensive. Bty the way there is also a Multipack place on Gonzallez Gallo as you enter Guadalajara on the left handside of the road.
