Great breakfast at Los Molletes

We had a great breakfast at Los Molletes. It is easy to miss as it is between some closed shops and the Lomwell carwash on the north side of the caratara. They have a full range of breakfast items, including many mollete choices.

Molletes are open faced sandwiches made with bollillo rolls. You can get an order consisting of 4 roll halves or two roll halves with various toppings. The topping is put onto the bread, then topped with cheese, and put into the oven to melt. There are also some sweet ones you can eat for breakfast. They also serve a variety of salsas. One is almost like a jelly, while others are very hot and one was just right for me (who doesn't like too much heat!) The coffee is excellent and they offer moka, cappuccino fresh juices and more.
I had the 2 piece scrambled egg w/chesse mollete. It was excellent. The bread was fresh and tasty. My husband had huevos Vera Cruz which was scrambled eggs rolled in tortillas with a bean sauce on top.

Give them a try and see what you think. We really enjoyed it. The waiter was bi-lingual as was the menu.
