cedros Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 I am making up blank petition forms and would like it bilingual. What would be the best thing to say in Spanish similar to; We the undersigned would like the gate open Mondays?
Travis Posted April 13, 2013 Report Posted April 13, 2013 What would be the best thing to say in Spanish similar to; We the undersigned would like the gate open Mondays? I imagine it would depend on what purpose the gate serves and where it's located. Prison? Mental Institution? Fracc?

More Liana Posted April 13, 2013 Report Posted April 13, 2013 Suscrito entre las siguientes personas, pedimos que los lunes la pluma se deje abierta. The above phrase would work IF what you are writing about in the petition is the kind of gate across a street that is a long piece of wood or metal that raises up and down from one end...as Travis mentioned, the kind of gate that a fraccionamiento uses. His point was that there are different words for 'gate' depending on the purpose of the gate.
cedros Posted April 13, 2013 Author Report Posted April 13, 2013 Thanks More Liana. The word for gate wasn't my problem-just the rest of the sentence.
doberwoman Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 and in the mexican way is: "Los suscritos agradeceremos que la puerta se deje abierta los dias lunes"
julibaga Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 Another way. "Los abajo firmantes agradeceremos que la puerta se deje abierta todos los lunes".
More Liana Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 "Suscritos entre..." is the more-used version of the idiom.
