E=MC2 Posted March 30, 2013 Report Posted March 30, 2013 Just got back last week. Took Vivaareorbus from Guad Airport to Tuxtla Chiapas. Cost about $90 US with carry on luggage. 2 hour flight. Prices are all over the board, I saw some as low as $60US, I paid premium coming back to Guad 2 weeks later, because of Semana Santos. Airport is about 20KM from Tuxtla, but you can take a "collective" to San Christobal for 89 pesos ( I used my national DIF card and got 50% off). What a Beautiful State in Mexico!!
Travis Posted March 30, 2013 Report Posted March 30, 2013 A friend of mine just e-mailed me and wants to do a trip "somewhere" in June. Is that a good time to visit Chiapas? Neither of us has ever been to San Cristobal, or anywhere else in Chiapas.
bmh Posted March 30, 2013 Report Posted March 30, 2013 No it is the time when we leave it is rainy season. The best time is probaby now till middle of May. The rains usually come mid may.This year the weather has been very beautiful in March as well. June and September ae very rainy. The rains in SC comes around 2pm and sometimes last all day. Once it start raining it is cold.It also means that some of the back roads are not great.. It is a very beautiful State but it has a rough climate.
