sarasal Posted December 9, 2012 Report Posted December 9, 2012 Returning to Chapala on December 13th - and shortly thereafter our son and five yr old grandson arrive for about a week's stay! Since our place is close to the Malecon, we would love to be able to rent a kid's bike and a kayak during their stay. Any info about a place that does this type of rental in Chapala or Ajiijic would be *greatly* appreciated! Gracias~
traderspoc Posted December 10, 2012 Report Posted December 10, 2012 on the malecon in chapala there is a kayak rental on weekends but not always there. was there for about six months during summer
zerbit Posted December 19, 2014 Report Posted December 19, 2014 Old post but wanted to add that we rented paddle boards at Chapala Adventures in Riberas today. 190 pesos for 3 hours. They have 7 paddle boards and 7 kayaks. Nice folks, very helpful. They also have a sailboat and two pontoon boats. They have a Facebook page.
Tom Leonard Posted December 19, 2014 Report Posted December 19, 2014 And they also have a website: http://www.chapalalakeadventure.com/ They are just starting off but they have a great location and lots of good ideas and plans. Here is their email: http://www.chapalalakeadventure.com/
ComputerGuy Posted December 19, 2014 Report Posted December 19, 2014 Interesting web site, but it gives absolutely no indication how to find them.
Tom Leonard Posted December 19, 2014 Report Posted December 19, 2014 There are two phone numbers at the bottom of each of their web pages: "Lada sin costo México: 01800 410 3234 Directo: 01 (376) 106 2124" And if you go to 'contacto' a chat dialog box pops up where you can chat or leave a message. As for location, if you take the road just before Mom's Deli and go down to the lake they are on the right hand side.
ComputerGuy Posted December 19, 2014 Report Posted December 19, 2014 Thanks for the directions, Tom. Yes, lots of contact information, but they really need to also show their location. I might want to scope out the place before I want to talk to someone. Especially do not want to start an email conversation until I'm ready myself. Otherwise, it's just an advertising opportunity.
Tom Leonard Posted December 19, 2014 Report Posted December 19, 2014 yes, they should have location on their site as well, - and they have a good location, right by the lake in Riberas. And lots of interesting activities planned, tours, sail boat rides, paragliding, etc. - very friendly and helpful people, I hope they do well.
hoylecare Posted January 31, 2015 Report Posted January 31, 2015 Emailed them today...for address and 2015 activities
windrider Posted January 31, 2015 Report Posted January 31, 2015 Was there today. Keep my sailboat there. If you head to the lake on San Jorge, just on the west side of Mom's, you dead end into the property. Walk throught the gate and there is always someone there on the property that can help or answer questions.
