glws Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 I am getting more confused as I read about these tests. I want to get one done soon but 1. Where is best. 2. What are the costs. 3. Can they be done safely in Ajijic. please help I am sure others need to know this also.
RVGRINGO Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 To be safe, in the event of a perforation, it should be done in a full service hospital setting. That is not available in Ajijic or Chapala.
saintmartin Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 Check with Doctor Leon...he will set you up.
wanderer Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 i took a friend to clinica tolsa in guadalajara. 3650 pesos for the colonoscopy plus 1000 pesos for biopsy of polyps if necessary. this was on 23 august of this year. did great job, no problems. left after the procedure with pictures and diagnosis of any noted issues. they also do ekg, sonogram, endoscopy etc. dr leon can schedule and he has a guy working for him that will take you and help with everything. great service.
ajijicsolomon Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 My husband had a colonoscopy through Dr Leons office, I am not sure how often they come but I know it is on Saturday you need to check with Dr Leon's office. I just wanted to say that he was very impressed and satisfied with the procedure. He has had two previous colonoscopy's in the The United States, Los Angeles California to be precise. He felt that this one was definately as good if not better than the other two he had in the US. I need a Mommogram any suggestions @ Lakeside or is it better to go into Guad?
Irish Gal Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 Dr. Juan Pablo Loza office is in Chapala on Calle Guerrero 141-B, telephone 376-765-5477 or cell 33 3141 3364 He arranged for a colonoscopy in a Guadalajara hospital by a gastroenterologist, Dr. J. Martin Garcia Gonzalez. I also agree with RVGringo that a colonoscopy should only be done in a hospital in case of complications.
maw7815 Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 I had a colonoscopy, including the anesthesiologist's seperate bill, mammogram and bone density test all done on the same day at Tolsa. Highly recommend- the total bill was around $5000p that included the Inapam discount. I felt so good after all those procedures that I went shopping at Costco afterwards! You might want to post this on a different forum-LCS has nothing to do with this topic! LOL! maw
Dr.Santiago Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 I can also coordinate Colonoscopies with 2 other Gastroenterologists and surgeons as well as do your follow up care. I also recommend that they be done at a hospital in Guadalajara. Contact me for more information and for prices.
