crjd Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 Good friends visiting from California were so impressed with the lamb dinner that they had at Baya Bistro that they photographed the entree and posted it on Facebook. When I saw the picture with the reference that this was a meal that they had at a wonderful new restaurant in San Antonio Tlayacapan but did not name the restaurant I immediately wrote our friends and asked the name of the restaurant. When they told me Baya Bistro I was shocked in that I had no idea that they served such complete meals. I checked their on-line menu and see no mention of lamb so perhaps this was just a "daily special". Has anyone else had the lamb?
bookwoman Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 Yes, it was the special and was a large meal with lots of tender, juicy lamb. I think they have it weekly. But not sure what day.
Jeanneb2000 Posted August 19, 2012 Report Posted August 19, 2012 Oh my, that looks and sounds wonderful. Is this the Bistro accross from Superlake? I need to find out which day they serve the lamb special.
Irish Gal Posted August 20, 2012 Report Posted August 20, 2012 A few weeks ago, my husband had the lamb special on a Sunday. I was there today and the lamb was one of the specials.
CCC Posted August 20, 2012 Report Posted August 20, 2012 I have enjoyed the lamb special very much. I believe they have it most days and are testing out a few "specials" for inclusion in the permanent menu. The salmon special is also very good.
thevalerieleigh Posted August 24, 2012 Report Posted August 24, 2012 We went yesterday and enjoyed the lamb special as well. I do think $190 pesos is a bit high for it but it was tender and tasty. We'll go again but it will have to be a special event for us. Valerie
