Their margharita pizza (the only pizza in my opin) is very good.
I've heard some say it could use a little more sauce.
But I didn't say it.
The crust is done well in their wood burning oven.

A friend and I had lunch at Junky Monkey yesterday. We ordered a large, basic pizza to which we added onions, mushrooms and ground beef. Chris asked if we wanted extra sauce and extra cheese, which we did. It was a loaded pizza by the time we got through.
What we did not ask for but you need to, is a thin, crisp crust if that is what you prefer. He is very willing to accomodate requests.
The pizza came to 124 pesos and was large enough for the two of us to be very satisfied when we were finished.
This is a recommend.

When the Junky Monkey posts were moved to the Restaurant Happenings forum, all the reviews were moved and now expunged so I am reposting my review.
A friend and I went to Junky Monkey about 10 days ago. We decided to split a large pizza. We ordered the basic pizza and then added onions, mushrooms, and pepperoni. Christopher asked if we wanted rour pizza dry or with more sauce. We wanted more sauce. We also wanted more cheese. It was a loaded pizza.
The dough was thicker than we would have liked but not thick like a Domino's pizza.
The price was 124 P and was worth every centavo as we walkedaway full and satisfied.
We discussed the dough with Christopher and he is anxious to please. Tell him how you would like your pizza toppings and how you want the dough. He is happy to oblige.
This is a recomend.

Shira, Christopher may be a little too anxious to please .... but I am thinking he will get the combination down soon. On your recommendation we ordered a pizza delivered. The crust was so thin that it was barely there and the cheese was so thick that it bled through the thin crust. However, the ingredients were tasty and we ate the whole thing. Next time we will ask for a thicker crust :) which is the opposite problem that you encountered. I hope he might give a choice of thin or thick crust. Also, the large pizza is not enough for a large man and a hungry woman :) We will order a large and a medium next time .... which is better anyway because you can get two different kinds. Also, we will be ready with a hot oven to heat and crisp it up because they did not have the pizza delivery boxes that keep a pizza hot for a bit. It was delivered between two paper plates that provided no insulation at all.

Luke notice I said to tell him how you want the dough. He is willing too make it thick or thin depending on what you prefer.

I wonder how much those boxes cost? MIght be worth it; $124 is a pretty darn good price for a large, and the box shouldn't add that much.

We know now to ask for a thicker crust ... didn't know we had a choice as we were not given one when we called.

I have really loved the Junky Munky pizzas since they opened, and Christian and Cassie will customize your order to please. They now have boxes for delivery and are setting up a system to keep home delivery food piping hot. For a restaurant that has only been open two weeks I think they are doing an amazing job of working through the growing pains. Best pizza lakeside hands down, I hope you will give them another try.

And they're open 1:00 to 11:00, so it is one of the few places if you are hungry at the odd hour. Not sure the 11 pm is a good idea for them but they;re doing it. BTW, my little take-home sheet says they're closed Thurs. and that the 2 sizes are chico and grande. The grande feeds us two just fine but appetites vary. I like to order enough to ensure leftovers, as that way I can still claim we only go out for pizza once a week;)

From a friend... best pizza she's had Lakeside in over 10 years. Loved the thin crust (ate at the restaurant). Great ingredients. Large glass of very good wine for only 30 pesos.

We'll be trying take out soon.

We also think it's the best pizza we've had lakeside, though the crust both times has been a bit burnt. We'll have to talk to him about that. We had a custom pizza first time and the Greek with artichokes the second. A bit light on the blue cheese it is supposed to carry, but we would order it again.

Certainly would be helpful if they'd bother to answer their phone for take-out orders....

Had their pizza for the first time tonight...there will be many, many more times that we will order. The sauce has a very light hint of garlic...very savoury. Actually went there and ordered the pizza for takeout...1/2 hour from ordering, I left with a piping hot pizza. While waiting, I sat on their patio and enjoyed a diet coke.
Please understand that their cell phone is not on Cassie's person as she runs around waiting on tables and filling orders. They've been open for less than a month and are a little overwhelmed by their success. Give them a chance...you won't be sorry.

Thanks for all the posts about them not answering the phone for to-gos. Inatead we went there to place our order, had some wine and before we could finish the wine the pizza was ready. Worked out well. Even got a cup to take the wine with us.

We called several weeks ago and got no answer. Shortly after I hung up the phone, she called back. Having a pizza delivered was a lifesaver after a very busy day.
