I found a beautiful young, unspayed springer spaniel (I'm pretty sure that's his breed) in lower Riberas around 8pm this evening. I've not seen him around so fear someone dropped him here. He's very heavily chocolate brown and white spotted with a mainly white tail. He had a choke chain, but no tag of course. Sweet as can be and I was able to easily bring him into my yard where he scared the cats but played with my dog. If I could, I would keep him in a heart-beat, but just in case he's lost, I'm posting this.

If you have any info please respond. I will take him to Anita's tomorrow where I pray he will find his forever, loving home. How people can do this to creatures who only want to love you is beyond me. A
Pox on them.

Fingers crossed that this is just a lost puppy. He appears quite young, maybe 6-8 months.

Thanks for any help you can offer. Or if you would like a great guy for you ........

And he's very good with thunder and lightning. Nary a howl or bark. So trusting, even after being ill-treated and thrown away. Man should be so good.

Is it a male or a female?

In one breath you say he and another say unspayed. You spay a female and you neuter a male. please clarify

CORRECTION: He is a pointer not a spaniel.

DaveP: if you can tell that a female is unspayed just by looking you have quite a gift, while it is very easy to see if a male has not been neutered. Plus I used the pronoun HE throughout my post.

Actually,... in my neck of the woulds you CAN tell! They've started tattooing a green line next to the incision. Don't know why they didn't think of that years ago!!!!

A friend will be posting his picture shortly. As mentioned above he appears to be a German shorthair pointer. Should I repost with correct breed do you think?

That's a great idea, but not done here and I doubt if a strange dog would be amenable to being rolled over in the clover.

He's gorgeous! Surely he belongs to someone--looks like a purebred German shorthair pointer to me. Lovely dog, but too far away and too big for our apartment life.
