Mother Nature did her best with a major rainfall yesterday morning but it fell short.
The Lake Chapala Weather site reports the Average Rainfall for the Month of June = 9.0 inch.
This year (2012) we got 6.91 inches
2011 8.46 inches
2010 12.7 inches
2009 6.2 inches

The lake has a long way to go to reach the steps of the Old Pasada Hotel like it did a few years back.

The above figures are for July not June

The rainfall that occurred in Jalisco during July was 1.4 percent over normal

Lake Chapala recovered another centimeter - now at 51.31 percent of total capacity

From www.chapalaweather.net

The avg. rainfall Jan-Jul is 17.7 inches.
Jan-Jul this year is 18.96 inches.
So.....we've had over 7% more rain than average thusfar this year.
