We brought down from NOB a Belkin wireless router plus an extender. We have Telemex and have the wireless router. I am aware that Telemex has an wireless extender however am wondering if I should try hooking my Belkin into the Telemex modem and then set up my extender that we brought to connect to my Belkin.
Thanks
Zan

Unplug the Telmex modem and use yours. Every modem I've tried here works just fine. There is no 'majic key'

My Belkin is just a wireless router..not a modem...My Telemex is the modem and wireless router combined...

It can't do any harm to plug it in and try. Might have to turn off the Telmex wireless (2 routers does not sound good) and only use Belkin or just use the extender with the Telmex

I just happened to plug in my extender for the heck of it and it immediately linked to the Telemex modem/router and I got extended range...Thanks Sparks for the info.

If you do decide to use your belkin router,
and make sure it's address is not the same as the telmex router.
you'll probably want to make sure its dhcp service is off.
or it could assign the same addresses that the telmex modem/router assigns.
