Thanks for sharing. I have not been to Bubba's for over a year, and I WILL NOT go back. The same problem. We tried going to dinner tonight at Bubba's in Riberas. He advertised hours til 7:30pm and new mini-burgers a la White Castle in the Guad Reporter. We get there at 6:30 and are told that the restaurant is closed (there are guests seated and eating when we arrive). I ask to speak to Bubba and he tells us that the deep frier is broken. We say that we don't want to order anything made with the deep frier. He lets us in. No invitation to sit at a table, no menus, no request for a drink order. We are just left sitting there. I finally ask the waitress for menus and she brings us one menu for the two of us. We feel very unwelcome and leave. We won't be returning for "Texas Hospitality" anytime soon. Just thought that this bad attitude experience should be shared. I imagine that there will be defenders responding to this post, but I'm telling it like it happened.
His attitude sucks as far as I am concerned.
Tho, I believe the Cocina Mod needs to move this thread to La Cocina.

But since he opened, he's sat in his little corner throne and never lifted a finger to oversee his service staff. They are lazy, slow, and totally unconcerned. Each time I took my Mom, I had to get up at least twice to get service, sometimes three and four times. They just don't bother coming out to check on you (and the food takes forever to arrive). Having to wave my hands frantically whenever they appear at someone else's table is not my idea of good times; otherwise, they won't look at you.
