She started agility 5 months ago and is already going over agility trial champions. I use to fly a Cherokee 180 that I sold several years ago. I was an actress in community theater for several years. Perhaps my greatest adventure has been being foster mom to my lovely daughter, Lise.

Are there any dog performance venues in the area. I have show dogs who compete in obedience, rally, conformation, herding, tracking and agility.

You seem to be attracted to the ocean. I have 5 scuba certifications. How long of a drive is it to the ocean and good diving? I like to spear fish and catch lobster.

Nicki, There is a competitive agility club but it is in Guad. Sadly there are not a huge number of dog clubs here and most don't offer the many performance events you were showing in. Dog shows are not nearly as numerous as the states. You can look up the FCI Mexico web site which is like the AKC but it is mostly in Spanish , not updated frequently and their show calendar can often be wrong. Used to show in many of the events you mentioned but not any more...sigh.

Sorry to hear that. At least there is agility. She started that 5 months ago and already at run through night with an AKC judge, my almost 3 year old Grand Champion in conformation is going over agility trial champions. Meesha so rocks in everythig I ask of her! Thanks for the info, Chris. It made my morning. Niki

There is a newish dog park in San Antonio, on Ramon Carona, basically directly behind/below Walmart. It has some agility equipment.

There is an FCM Dog Show next weekend, July 20-22. Originally it was to be held at a location in Guadalajara in the Primavera forest, but a scheduling conflict arose and they've moved the event to............The Monte Carlo Hotel in Chapala.

I know nothing else about the Dog Show buisness other than I expect the dog that lives at this house to bring home some serious hardware next weekend.

Here's a link to the FCM website which still lists the show as taking place in Guadalajara....but it's not.

Niki:
I used to get arount 3 or 4 hours to Manzanillo. Yes, I lllllove the ocean, but I am not a fishing person, so I do not know much about good spots to catch Lobster. I used to stop at Colola or El faro or some of this little beaches, just to swim and do meditation by the sea.

Travis: Thanks for the info about july 20!

All you need is love....
