Could someone tell me where I could purchase CO2 cartridges for a bb pistol?
I thought they would be easier to locate since they sell pellet guns at Walmart.

You can buy some online .
http://www.co2airgunsmexico.com.mx/
CO2 guns are not illegal, only firearms .
WaltMart may have some.
Marti may get some for you, in Centro Laguna .
Marti and Liverpool in Guad have them also.

Sundown is absolutely right, I forgot to say that certain fire arms are legal in Mexico and must be registered.
CO2 are not illegal, I own 2 paintball guns and play frequently .
Firearm replicas propelled by C02 are sold on websites, tianguis and super markets, the problem is some people use them for robberies and thus the authorities are banning their sale.

I stand corrected for using old info. Few years ago I investigated pellet guns before I brought one down. SEDENA (Sec Defense) boldly published 'no Co2 nor multi-projectile handguns' legal. Certainly none that resembled actual pistol models. Only spring or pump models allowed.
In 2010 regs were changed as is evident with large announcements on sites that sell such touting their legality. Even have models that are copies of Glocks, Barettas, etc. Some even have capacity of up to 16 rounds. Times do change and I was behind. Still would prefer my Glock 9 mm.
New Federal Law of Firearms and Explosives makes such 'legal for recreational, sporting and under necessary circumstances as legitimate means of self defense and personal protection.' Interesting as previous law had no mention of 'self defense and personal protection.' Not that a 400 FPS pellet can stop an intruder unless in capable hands.
Even though not illegal, to import must have proper documentation. That's why many places don't handle them because of paperwork not legality.
Apologies for shooting (haha) my mouth off using old info. Guess that's a first on the blog, no? Have thought it would be amusing to unload on intruder with paintball gun.
