Is anyone growing dill I could buy? Or, I could trade the tzatziki or dill pickles I plan to make with it. I'm bringing seedlings, but they're tiny and I want to get started asap. Thanks!

I tried years ago here but aphids got the best of me AND the plants. But when Marie Pruden was here, I know she managed..... don't know how. Good luck!

Try Vivero del Lago nursery, next door to Ajijic Telmex office..have found pots of dill and lots of other kitchen herbs there, very reasonably priced, but the variety varies by season. They are also growing diiferent types of micro greens, most sold to upscale Gdl restaurants, available retail by prior order. Karina Sanchez speaks fluent English. Tel. 766-6057.

We have seen dill out at the Tuesday Organic market, now west of town, lake side.

I grew dill from seeds last year in hanging baskets of all things...it grows well with tomatoes. I was doing a little square foot/plant combining gardening. Basket wasn't deep enough for the tomatoes to hold water and grow successfully but the dill was great! Aphids bothered the cucumbers on the side of the house w/partial sun...the hanging baskets w/dill & tomatoes had full sun and dill grew marvelously...superb on grilled salmon! Sorry I don't have any now but you can grow it here
It does grow like a big weed! jfi
