Not sure what the repercussions of this are/will be locally, but would appreciate any follow-up information. The article states that a "national animal health emergency" was announced Monday. Authorities say there is no risk to human from consuming chicken.

During the pig flue (2009), authorities downplayed the whole thing also. In a very recent WHO report (from UN), they are talking about
250 000 people who died (instead of 25 000, as the government said), in Mexico alone !!

Hmmm, it's time to by a chicken...only for the eggs though. Knowing me I'll give it a name and a good forever home. Geez!!
