Don't forget to buy your tickets today or tomorrow at 80 pesos. They will be
150 pesos at the door on Monday.

Feria del Arte will have a quantity of pre loved folk art for sale. The money raised goes towards
transportation costs for artisans to get to the show in November.

We also have a number of arch top wooden frames that will be wonderful painted
bright colors and turned into mirrors. A Tonala potter kindly gave them to the
Feria to help raise funds.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Question: Tickets 80 pesos in advance, 150 at the gate on the day. What is included? Food or drinks? Nothing? Several people have asked me this.........so here it is.

If you check the website - my reading of it is that nothing is included. If something is, I'll be delighted but I have no expectations!

The newsletter from LCS says there were 600 attendees last year; at 50 a head, the Tall Boys will net 30,000 pesos! Seems high for a 'charity' event. IMO.

If you think about it, without ranting, you should know that the music group for any event is not getting "the gate". (Yes, often when they appear in a club or similar venue, the "cover charge" is theirs.) They are getting an agreed upon fee; and may have - as they have been known to do - donated their appearance.

This is a fund raiser for LCS. Look around when you're their and think about what it costs to operate and maintain. Yes, a lot of well-intentioned volunteers to person the desks, answer questions, check out books and videos; but the grounds and repairs are not done by volunteers.

I am led to believe that the price of admission does include a pass at the food table .... but we're happy to do the occasion as it's the primary event for most of the money to flow to the LCS coffers. Most of the other events there are either fund-raisers for other causes, where LCS makes the site available for little or free; or lectures or other presentations where, if there is a fee, it all goes to the presenting person/group.

Go on!! It won't hurt. And you may even enjoy it!!

I'm definitely going for the "pre-loved" artwork that will be at the Feria's both. Hope to see many of you there.

My understanding is that Roberto's is providing food and the cost is $80.

Buen provecho.

Price of admission does NOT include the food pass. That was 80 pesos more per person when we bought ours. Agree with you but this really should have been clearly spelt out in the flyers for this event. Don't be surprised if there isn't some upset about this over there today.

Food pass wasn't worth the price, consensus of our group of 4. Tall Boys great show and fun, lots of dancing and smiling. Overall a nice event.

Maybe next time ya could offer bottled water and sodas at the "bar" instead of forcing people to walk all the way up front for those? Ya might sell more that way.

Yes, it was a nice event. We waited for the line- ups to clear before we went for our food, but by that time they had run out. They scrambled up some other grub, but we left and went somewhere else to eat. No complaints though because it's a great fund raiser and it was good to see everyone out having fun and socializing.
