Our Shaw service has been unwatchable the last two days due to intermittent loss of signal. Is this the annual/semi-annual round of interruptions due solar activity or do I have an individual problem?
Shaw in and out. Solar flares or just us?

Those big clouds to the south on the other side of the lake do take down all the signals sometimes not just Shaw.
Look at your signal strength and that will tell you if it is the clouds. Also depends on your dish. 75 dish works
much better than smaller ones. If you have a 75 dish and signal strength is low when it goes out. You might
try peaking the dish. Sometimes the wind moves them around a little and we have had some wind. I have
shaw with the large dish and I only have seen some pixalation in the last few days for a short period of time.

Yes, it sounds like a local problem with the hardware/dish. I am having no problems, and my signal is not particularly strong.

There are no solar outages this time of the year. It's in the spring and fall. Also the satellites you are pointing at are at 107.3 and 111.1 degrees West which is basically south. And the dish is pointed up at about 60 degrees elevation. If you have the 75 E dish you know 36.5 inches by 26 inches in diameter and if everything is working well (dish properly pointed, good wiring etc.) you should get programming even during light rain between you and the satellite.
I'm only guessing, but as was suggested above that the dish probably needsto be slight adjusted, you know boresited in.
