Is there a phone number one can call for Bonnafont water? I've had my sign on my fence for three days now and no water (Iknow sunday doesn't count) Down to a gallon of water now. I've been home all day waiting. What to do?

Not sure if that number still works, they closed the local plant but it seems as if the guys are back.

And since they started bringing their water down from Guadalajara, instead of from the local plant, it tastes different.

I've had no luck with getting hold of them on the phone and getting them to deliver for me. I'm not in a location where I can get their attention easily when they go by (they are usually gone by the time I get out of my house) and no where to really hang up a sign telling them I need water.

Interesting post. Since Bonnafont Is trucking their agua from Guad ur talking purified municipal Guad H2O (from various sources - one being the lake), I would presume. Never presume. Interesting that you would notice a taste diff from what used to come out of a local aquifer. A friend there gets here bottled water from here local store. She gets Bonnafont. He knows her consumption and includes it in his delivery, drops it off to her and collects the empties. All very Mexican, comfy cozy. she buys her beer, milk,. etc. cheaper than anywhere, and everyone is happy and plugged in to each other. I was amazed. Some of these places are putting a son or daughter through university while they "live in the back" to make it all happen. Viva Mexico. Try it out. You will be rewarded.

I've lived in upper Ajijic since 1997. And I've never purchased purified water. Why bother? All I can tell you is that the house has a filter system and that there were periods of perhaps up to six months every few years when the U/V lights were not working. I never got sick. Neither did my workers. Now, since 2008, when I remodeled the house I did add reverse a osmosis machine for the majority of my drinking water but not all of it. I don't have it for the water feeding the ice machine in the refrigerator either. I know my gardener drinks the water that hasn't gone through the reverse osmosis system either. And he doesn't get sick

Do we really need to buy purified water? I don't know. I just know that I haven't for the last 15 years, and so far I have not gotten sick from bad water.

No where to put a sign....tape a 'Agua pro favor' sign to the part of your house nearest the street. Make it big enough to see from a truck cab driving past.
