I went this past Monday with 2 other ladies and we were done and had our reports by 11:30 a.m. A great service to lakeside women. The lady that sets this up is Nora.
A mammogram and ultrasound without the special is 2,200+ pesos. this is a great savings.
See Nora's letter below

.Good Morning All:

I am pleased to advise that Centro Medico Puerto de Hierro (CMPDH) is continuing to offer special rates to Lakeside
residents for the following procedures:

Mammogram 500 pesos
Mammogram + Breast Ultrasound (if necessary) 700 pesos
Mammogram + Breast Ultrasound (if necessary) + Bone Mineral Density 1300 pesos

For those with their own transportation, requests for appointments at these rates must be directed to Lissu Gonzalez,
Manager, Public Relations at 0133 3848 4010 or by email to lissu.gonzalez@cmpdh.com

For those requiring transportation, Claudia Navarro of Wishmakers has offered to drive one to four persons to
CMPDHand back to Ajijic for 350 pesos (this is total cost - not per person). Claudia assures me that Wishmakers
(www.wishmakers.net) has a fleet of well maintained, fully insured, air conditioned vehicles which can accommodate up
to six persons but, to avoid delays, the optimum number in one group for these procedures at CMPDH is four persons.

Initially, this service will operate every Monday morning (depending upon demand) departing from a pre arranged location
in Ajijic. Until the system is up and running smoothly, I will be coordinating appointments for procedures and transportation
for these groups so anyone wishing to take advantage of these special rates should contact me at eseniors@prodigy.net.mx
with a c.c. to norabca@yahoo.com. and provide the following information (required by CMPDH for appointments):

Your Name Tel. No. Email address Which procedure(s) required Preferred date (starting May 28th)

Please feel free to share this information with all your friends at Lakeside.
Nora 766-4969. If voice mail, leave a message and she will return your call.

Seguro Popular provides free mammograms annually if you are over 60. The Chapala clinic is having a mammogram day in July (the 11th? I think). You need to have Seguro Popular; and sign up with the SP social worker at the SP clinic, prior to the mammogram day. BTW - the social worker is supposed to be at SP until 2 pm but I have noticed that she sometimes leaves a little earlier....

I don't know about the equipment or the training of the technicians in the mobile units, but our GYN Drs. all indicated having the tests done where they have digital up to date equipment. Try to find out if the equipment is digital and also where the technicians are coming from, like a well know hospital in Guad.

Probably 600 pesos, the difference between the mamo and ultrasound 700 pesos and all 3 for 1300 pesos. You could email Lissu at the email address in the first posting and she could tell you.
