Hi Everyone,

Just returned from Canada, threw in two loads of extra capacity laundry and suddenly on the second load the showers began backing up flooding into the bathrooms. Wish I could say it was only laundry water. Laundry turned into swabbing the decks and lots of disinfectant!!

Now flushing a toilet means water it is coming up in the shower. Hoping it is just the septic field is full as have never had it pumped and have never probably had this much water going into it at once. Walked the yard and the soil above the system is wet but not soggy.

Probably time for a good plumber and a pumper that does not cost your first born but is great work. In two years of woning the house never an issue until now.

Any suggestions much appreciated!

I like to go to someone really good who will assess the problem correctly, even if he is more expensive than some. With a serious problem, you want the voice of experience who will get things done right the first time. We use Jose Martinez, who is both a plumber and electrician. He straightened out our septic tank problem in a jiffy, and the tank did not need pumping after all--the line was simply blocked with a paper towel or something that got flushed and blocked the line. But, each case is different! Jose's phone is 765-3297, cell 333-174-1282.

JayBearII..I'm also looking for a plumber. You mentioned that Jose is 'more expensive than most' Can you give me some idea of how he charges...ie. by the hour, or by the job?
Thanks, Jistme.

We have a good plumber / electrician that we have used here in Joco and his name is Enrique Huerta. He does travel to Ajijic and Lakeside area. Very professional, does good work, on time and good prices. Speaks Spanish mostly, very little English. 331.545.3132. If you need an interpreter, just send me a PM and be happy to help.

I can highly recommend my plumber/electrician. He is, I think, fair and always provides receipts. Very prompt and highly responsive to emergency situations. Miguel ángel J. 331-045-3699.

I don't think he does septics, but Juan Pablo Giovanni of Handi-Mail and Homeservices does them for 3000p. 333-968-2938 or office 766-1569.

So sorry about your messy, icky problemà. Am sure all of the recommended will be of benefit.
