Is there a legal way to pay to have your car returned to the states? Has anyone ever had car put on a hauler and brought back? I have fm-3 currently but would not be available to go with car back to states.

Another trusted expat, with a similar visa, and your written permission & inclusion on your insurance, could drive the car back for you and get the receipts for your 'sticker' at the border Banjercito.

Dows not have to be included on insurance. The car is insured (in Mexico) with any licensed driver

I would talk to your insurance agent, about the best procedure to follow.

If i was driving the car, i would make sure the agent had me on the policy,
or gave me a letter.

so if an accident happened, yhe person driving yur car would have the proper papers to show.
