Rumor has it that the transit police are the ones that stole my mother's belongings from the scene of the accident and then went to her home and thoroughly cleaned her out of all her valuables. Then when someone went to the police to identify her they miraculously had her ID.
Since there were eyewitnesses I am assuming someone got some pictures and/or video of the alleged crime. If so please post it anonymously to my skydrive account at https://skydrive.liv...69D3F92C2%21112
I will then get the American Embassy and American Consulate involved. Hopefully we can keep this from happening again!

Según los rumores la policía del transite son los que robaron las cosas de mí mama. Primero de la escena del accidente y después fueron a su casa y sacaron las cosas de valor que tenía. Luego, cuando un amigo fue a la policía para preguntarles en cuanto a ella, ellos mismos ya tenía la identificación de ella.

It is very sad that you lost your mother so suddenly and unexpectedly. To have to cope with the Mexican authorities for the loss of her property is just miserable.
