I have an acquaintance in central Texas who has 125 coats and 97 pairs of shoes for orphans in Mexico. However she has no way right now to get them here.

I was wondering if there was anyone who would be driving through Texas who would be willing to meet her or drop by her home in Hubbard, TX to pick up even a small load to bring back to lakeside.

Great idea. Just a suggestion, do not under any circumstances mail them to Mexico. My sister from Florida attempted to mail me a number of clothing items for distribution to children in the area. The package was held at the border with a huge duty on it. Officially, Mexico is attempting to prevent the importation of used clothing for resale, I was told. I was unable to even get them returned to my sister. It will be better for your friend to hold on to the clothing until someone can pick the up NOB.

I will keep my ears open for friends coming south.
