Maestros del Arte will have a folk art fundraising table at the upcoming LCS CAN/AM Celebration on July 2nd.We're selling pre-owned and pre-loved Mexican folk art to raise funds for artists' transportation costs. It costs about $400 USD for a round trip bus fare from Chiapas. We do not charge artists invited to participate - no booth fee, no percentage of sales. However, unless the Feria is able to find outside funding, the artists DO have to pay for their transportation to and from the Feria. The cost of this is often prohibitive, especially for artists who live on the other side of Mexico. It can be a reason they cannot participate.
