This forum has been very good in many ways, and I do not understand the "censorship" that has now taken place. Comments, rumors, facts, warnings, etc, regarding our security here Lakeside has been
very valuable to us all. Regardless , whether I like or dislike what I read.
It is sad, that now, information about a "pregnant cat" can be considered more important than
information about our safety here.

The problem is not so much the information, the problem is the mis-information and debate. The founders of this board never anticipated this situation and don't want this board in the middle of it. Like it or not, it is their right.

There is a much less censored board, http://lakechapalain...igforumpro.com/ where this stuff can be posted and discussed with very little restriction. I realize this board doesn't like links but I hope they'll let this one go as it does provide an alternative site for that which this board no longers wishes to host and they have suggested you all take advantage of alternatives for crime info and discussion.

It is what it is. Don't like it? Three choices. Move along, ask to be a moderator, or think before every post. I think the mods are doing a great job. If one doesn't like what it is happening there are many options. Complaining on the board isn't the best solution.

I dislike whiners at the best of times, albeit that's just me.

One of the problems appears to be we are not sure what are the new limits and guidelines. Posting such would be appreciated. No one wants to be banned for doing something they believe is acceptable.

I hope I can post this ... here is a new web board specific to Lake Chapala area.

To Krogl309
I thought that this website preferred civil discourse, butI respond since you chose not to discuss, but to resort to name calling.
I see nothing in my statements that should be deemed "whinining".
There has been much info of all types on this website, but it is my responsibility to inspect for my use, not others. That is my point. And , I feel that "censorship" serves no purpose, as history in many countries has proved.

I also have news about a public meeting with police at 6pm Wed at the Ajijic Plaza. Maybe this won't get deleted since it's only an announcement.

What does a "less censored board" ? So Caldwell Bank has its hands on the Forum. A second thought was the Board is censored for safety reasons. If a drug war, the innocent murdered isn't worth talking about , puzzling it out with others, what is? Thank you for the honesty of so many to 'do the right thing" and help your neighbors stay safe. Will try the Spanish newspapers.
