Any recommendation on an online currency exchange service? A company that works with USD and MXN?

xe.com works good for me. I can move US$ from my US bank, convert them to pesos and move them to my Mexican bank. Can also do the reverse. Their spread is about 2.2%, in line with most banks.

XE.com is not available to Mexican citizens... any other option you know of?

http://www.oanda.com...assic-converter You can scroll forever, or just enter MXN for Mexican Pesos, and USD for US Dollars. You can pick a past date to see what the exchange rate was then. It does not show what your bank may be charging you, but it is pretty accurate.

It shows what the ask, bid, and sell price is at the moment. You must remember that the price of the Peso is not fixed, it floats so the exchange rate may be different ivery hour.

Oh, they charge a 25 usd fee. That makes it much worse than bank rate for less than 1000 usd. Everytime you use them you make big transfers?

I don't use them, I just tried the link out to see what was on their site. I only make transfers of $1000US at one time as well but I write a check on my US account and deposit to my Bancomer checking account without fees. Their rate is usually about 0.3 higher than Actinver's where I also have an account which earns about 4.5% interest.
