Baya-Bistro opened today and the food is wonderful.Great chicken wraps and the soup was really good as well. They will soon have a salad bar and have the best smoothies in the area. They serve beer and wine but this will definitely be a place to eat healthy at.They also have the first drive through in the area.Be sure and give them a try and know that a part of the profits go to local Orphanages!!

Their ad in El Ojo said open every day. Went by there today to have lunch. Closed! No sign out front. Couple of guys inside mopping the floor who only said they were closed. Don't know when they will actually be open. Not a great way to start a business and win customers.

Give them some time to get it together, they really want to give this area a healthy alternative to dining out. They are still training the staff and trying to make sure they get it right.

Went there yesterday at about 11:00am. They were happy to serve anything on the menu. Since we like an early lunch we both had the buffalo chicken wraps and they were delicious. Comes with fresh fruit and a nice sauce. The place is very attractive inside and you can tell that the operator, Bert spent a lot of time and money to do it right. This is NOT a health food restuarant, but a place that serves healthy food. No soft drinks but great ice tea and smoothies. They even make hamburgers which I plan on trying on our next visit. They are open from 8am to 9pm. Not sure what day they will be closing.

The hamburgers are excellent. The owner and the staff were very friendly when we were there last week.

I was there with a group last week and was pleased with the ambiance and cleanliness. The staff is friendly although is still being trained. I had pork sate and the fruit / cheese plate. The pork was served as chunks instead of the thin strips I'm accustomed to and a little chewy, but the sate was good. The fruit / cheese plate was very good. Presentation is nice too. The owner, Bert, sat with us and talked for a while. He very much wants to get this business "right" and is already contributing to the community (charities). I think the food he offers in this community is a nice change from the usual, and healthy. He is still training his staff and I believe will devote his time and effort to getting everything right. I will certainly go back time after time nd am pleased to have the food he offers as an option at Lakeside.

my chefs (Greg and Glen) from FOUR and myself and my kids went the other day for dinner! It was GREAT!!!!...the Texas burgers are yummy and the Chicken skewers also very good. They are working super hard to keep it together, they still have some issues, I think it is a super addition to the restaurants around here! Nice atmosphere...the owners are great. Lets try and keep them open!

My wife and I dined here the other day and were very pleased with the ambience and the food.

I tried and enjoyed the Nasi Goreng which is an Indonesian dish based on a tasty version of fried rice topped by an egg with vegetables and sauces on the side. I also sampled the daily special - loin of lamb - which was delicious. Certainly the best lamb I have had in Texas and Mexico (except for my wife's of course).

The hamburgers are also excellent with buns that are baked by the restaurant. All in all it was a very nice experience and one that we will be repeating.

My wife and I have eaten there and few times, enjoyed it, and will return. BUT - fair warning! If you're expecting a beefy, juicy hamburger ... go elsewhere!! I had a lovely piece of ground meats, well prepared and served. No juicy hamburger though.

I can't comprehend why people continue to use this site for comments on restaurants. It is my understanding that this site is only meant for announcements by the owners?
