Anyone want to volunteer their favorite places to find used books in English? I know about Magana's and the thrift store across from the 7-11 in Riberas. Those are gold mines. Any others lakeside, or in Guad? Any other voracious sci-fi, historical fiction, et al readers want to meet regularly and exchange books?

All of the above, plus go to yard sales. They usually have some books.

Magana's Restaurant has one of the best and well organized collection of books in the area. Stop and have lunch or dinner or snack and browse. Books are based on exchange, bring one in, take one one free. No limit but must be in good condition. Plus a great place to have a good meal. Hamburgers, fish tacos, ribs all excellent. It is located in Riberas on the lake side just east of the green Catholic Church and the Ladron Animal Clinic on the Careterra.

Moms also has some books but most of them seem to be romance paperbacks, spme mysteries; they also have an exchange program. Good breakfasts. On Carreterra going east towards Chapala near Mascaras Clinic, lakeside. Big sign on new building.

On the Plaza in Chapala, next to Cucumber's & across from Jose's rest.

This place has books out in front in 2 bins and many many more inside. These are packed into cabinets and a bit difficult to go thru but worth it for the voracious reader.
