This is so funny, my neighbor said a little water sloshed out of his pool. I was outside painting, didn't feel a thing and no water sloshed out of pool.

Neighbor said a 6.4 somewhere NW of Guad.

It was not as bad as the one in 2003. That was a big one that was really felt hard here. I can now chalk up two quakes for my record. That's enough thanks.

Geeze, for a moment I thought it was that new jug of Tequila! Not to worry, I only spit out one mouth full. Just hope that one was not a precursor.

We live in central Ajjijc and I'm from Vancouver Island and I knew what it was immediately, especially when I looked up and saw the ceiling fans swaying. We headed outside to the courtyard! There will probably be after shocks.

A friend from Joco looked up Fox news on the web and it said 7.0 magnitude earthquake on the pacific coast, swaying buildings in Mexico city. In Ajijic our chandelier swayed, couch swayed, open vent doors on the sides of our front doors moved back and forth.

Out in Chapala Haciendas I thought one of the dogs was pushing on my chair. Realized what it was and we all left the house. With these houses I'm evacuating to the back garden with no power lines. Born and raised in So. Cal. so lots of experience riding them out. This was a real roller different from most of those. Also was in Bucerias during the big Colima quake about 5 years ago. Been a lot in Mexico the last 6 weeks. Maybe a plate is about to give way.

I am from San Francisco as well and the surrounding areas of Northern California. Had my share of earthquakes.. My grandmother also was born in San Francisco and was 13 years old in 1906 and freaked out the rest of her 81 years at the smallest tremor.

I didn't feel a thing in Mirasol, but the cats were looking around. My friend in Chula Vista called and said she felt the shaking and saw things moving in her house. She called her new neighbors to alert them to what was happening.

Couch started moving and then the pictures were really swinging..lasted about 30-40 seconds enough to say lets just go outside...animals in the neighborhood were all wild with barking for about 15 minutes but all is calm now. Hopefully thats it. here is a great site . Gives a visual pic on the map of whre movement has been felt. Looks like 31 cities have reported movement http://earthquake.us...0/us/index.html

I didn't feel a thing but my husband was sitting at the computer and said his head felt real weird.

I was at the gym working out. I'm so used to big trucks going by and shaking my house that I didn't really notice.

With friends at El Rey Taco having dinner and I thought maybe I had an inner ear thing going on until I looked at the faces around the table...my first quake....Will have to check for damage at the house. Has anyone had any new cracks with this quake?

Interestingly, one of my dogs started scratching at the back door and whimpering a few minutes before this occurred. None of the others acted up and he is fine now. I felt a real rolling motion and everything in the house that could move did.

I only had wine glasses shake and fans barely move.

If you had major shaking then maybe you aren't on a solid geological foundation, may be a good time to buy earthquake insurance before a real earthquake hits so you don't have a pile of rubble and if you do, you'll have a fat check to rebuild with.
