Post a pic and phone around the area. Lots of us walk our dogs daily...the more eyes the better. Will watch carefully for her on our walks and will spread the word.

A photo of same breed and markings, or a drawing of the markings, would help, as would approx. size and weight. At 6 mos. she must be very small, yes?

thank you all for your suggestions. this is a picture off the web. but lulu looks pretty darn close to this. her parents are spending the day in guadalajara hooked up to a dialysis machine. neighbors have been called and are looking for her as well. she is small, maybe 3 or 4 pounds.. 12 inches from nose to bottom.... if you see her or find her please send me a note or give a call.

Put up reward posters in Spanish and ask all the kids in the neighborhood, they are great eyes and ears and will look for her. Someone probably has her and will return her for $$$$. Best of luck.

From what I have read in the past, many people have had luck with walking the neighborhood showing a picture to EVERYONE they see and asking if they have seen the dog. In addition to posters perhaps, if it isn't too expensive, putting a small flier at every house in the neighborhood as well?

What a relief! The three also adorable shih tzu we have known were famous for going very still and very quiet if out of their accustomed territory, making it all the more difficult to locate them. If Lulu is of the mind to scamper out the open door, crate training may bring her parents peace of mind.
