The most important factor in determining the location of a mammography is to determine the expertise and reputation of the radiologist involved. Radiologists are the only physicians with the skills to read and interpret a mammogram, a particularly difficult chore, as is any soft tissue radiograph. Frequent mammograms should be avoided, unless ordered by a radiologist or oncologist, because of the high radiation dosages required. In order to get a good image, slower, fine grained films and intensification screens are used, at high milliamperages and relatively longer exposures to radiation; hence the need for immobilization. Small breasted subjects are particularly difficult.
So, there is some good information on this thread, but blindly trusting to local practitioners is not advised. Start by researching the radiologist, not the shiny office or equipment.

Yes, and I'm still shuddering after seeing that video detailing the amount of radiation used for "normal" mammos.

So how about directions to any of these places in Guadalajara? I have a bunch of ladies that want to go in. LaChula?

I don't have Dr. V's address or phone at my fingertips now, but he is in one of the medical offices across from Del Carmen. I don´t drive in Guad so can´t give directions.

Please remember to ask any doctor that recommends a particular lab or pharmacy if he or she has any financial or other interest in it. There are no laws, even in the US, that they are required to disclose any connection but many doctors do have affiliationss with labs, etc

Dr.Carlos Roberto Villareal is located at Tarascos #3514, Fracc.Monraz , Across from Hospital Del Carmen. The ph.#
01 333 813 0440 or 01 333 813 1025.
You can take Lazaro Cardenas to Ave.Mexico then past Plaza Mexico /on the left/ turn left, you can see a Blockbuster sign across
the road. Sorry I do not know the street name. At the second street ,Tarascos, turn left.Drive down the street past the hospital .The medical building is on the right. It is a corner building. You can park around the building, or at the parking lot opposite the medical building. I hope this helps.
