I am interested in sending a Mexican gas stove to British Columbia. My inquiries to date indicate this will be very expensive and complicated. Does anybody have any suggestions how this could be done econimically? - Or could somebody driving back to the USA/Can transport it for me for a reasonable fee?

Thanks for any help.

Your Mexican gas stove will not be CSA approved. Should it cause a fire your insurance company will laugh in your face. What about parts?

Stom Moving is a starting point, they will palletize it, so yes, it will be expensive. There are several freight expediters in Guadalajara also shipping by pallet, but it will be expensive.

Contact this man in Guadalajara. He will personally arrange shipment of your stove. He shipped a delicate, large musical instrument from Morelia to California for us and his service was professional, timely, and we recommend him in every way.

It cost me 600 dollars to ship a pallet of merchandise from Guadalajara to New Mexico via Sebastian. I guess your cos will be higher than that unles you could hook up with someone who shipping their house hold back and you could add your stove. I would think that would be the least expensive way to go.

Out of curiosity, what kind of Mexican made stove is worth several hundred dollars to ship to Canada? I've never seen one like that, that couldn't be bought cheaper up North.

Thanks for the feedback folks. I have a cabin in a remote off grid location - problem is the gas stoves in USA/Can either have a standing pilot light, have a glo-bar designed for connection to 120V, or are specialty items for the off-grid market that cost a fortune due to limited production. TheMexican stove is perfect for my needs and for the price It would still make sense if I don't have to pay a fortune for shipping. I am aware of the potential insurance issue and would take my chances - so for the time being i will follow up with some of your suggestions. Thanks.
