lcscats Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Hello folks I need help I am one of four people who takes care of the cats at LCS. We have spent the last year getting the cat situation under control and getting all the cats tame, shots, fixed, and general care like food and such. The cats do serve a purpose in keeping down the rodent population and such. We do have a one eyed cat who just had an operation to help her vision and stop one eye from getting infected. Well here is the punch line. We get no money from LCS (they do loan us money from time to time until we can raise funds to pay LCS back) so we really can use a little bit of cash. We have paid off our debt to LCS for all the kittens last year but we would like to build a little bit of cash to give us a financial cushion for the off season when many of you folks are gone. So thanks for reading this and please help if you can. It would be appreciated. Donation can be made at the Cruz Roja Table at LCS. Email address below if you would like to communicate with us. (Begging time :-) Some of us also have spare kittens available as we do rescue work. We have one fixed male white 5 month kitten already had shots and two females with blue eyes white siamese markings had shots will have to be fixed. These females came back to us as she had a stroke and had to go into more appropriate living conditions. We have two cats, five kittens, and a dog who should meow. We need help with these kittens. Best of food medical care and they are all raised around dogs. One kitten came from LCS others were thrown over compound wall in a burlap bag. We are keeping two out of the bunch for ourselves. camillenparadise Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 Can I make a donation via PayPal? I'm at the Lake during the summer but live at the beach. Can't afford much, but I would like to help a little.
purplebeads Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 The cats do serve a purpose in keeping down the rodent population So if they are helping LCS with rodent population why can't they help pay for their care??
lcscats Posted February 20, 2012 Author Report Posted February 20, 2012 Can I make a donation via PayPal? I'm at the Lake during the summer but live at the beach. Can't afford much, but I would like to help a little. That is very very nice of you but we don't have anyway to use PayPal. When you arrive you can always leave a donation at the Cruz Roja Table at LCS. Cat Guy
lcscats Posted February 20, 2012 Author Report Posted February 20, 2012 The cats do serve a purpose in keeping down the rodent population So if they are helping LCS with rodent population why can't they help pay for their care?? They do help us quite a bit. We borrow money from them when we have medical needs. It is all kinda a volunteer thing. We might change it if it doesn't work out but some kind soul just gave us 300P and it has been working out. We don't have to get 30 people to capture the cats anymore. They are tame and well fed with good medical care with all there shots. The little half blind cat just had surgery on its bad eye to stop it from getting infected and we are trying to fix its good eye which has a scratch on the lens. We just talked with fearless leader (Terry) last week about the cats and we decided to just keep it the way it is for now. Maybe next target time for LCS we will ask for a little bit of money for the cats but it seems to be working the way it is. Always up for suggestions write me at lcscats@gmail.com
Zionmom Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 Besides Cruz roja any other way to donate?
lcscats Posted February 24, 2012 Author Report Posted February 24, 2012 Frankly at this time we don't have any other way. Front office at LCS works also but basically same location at Cruz Roja Table at LCS. Maybe we should do a paypal account. Will talk to other Cat Wranglers about it after high season. Thanks for the thought!! Cat Wrangler #1.2
lcscats Posted March 27, 2012 Author Report Posted March 27, 2012 Hi Still have one female kitten with gray eyes. She has been fixed and has all her shots including the records so you could take her back north if you wanted. Raised with dogs and people. If you ever wonder what happens to the pets down here when someone has to leave or go into a home or such? Well they end up with people like me. Right now we are down to four kittens, two cats, and a dog. We really need to find a home for one more kitten. Z
