giannabosanquet Posted February 13, 2012 Report Posted February 13, 2012 Hi All, I am new here. I learned Spanish a bit. But I have a question what is the basic difference between Spanish & Portuguese. Just want to know the main difference between them as Portuguese is more useful at my work.

bmh Posted February 13, 2012 Report Posted February 13, 2012 It seems that many Portuguese speaking people can figure out what the Spaniards are saying but the Spaniards cannot make out what the Portuguse are saying. I am not being funny, I travel and worked with a man who owned a sherry plant in Andalusia and a port house in Portugal and I observed that many times as we were travelling back and forth.
